Are you really 6 months!? I can hardly believe it! You are just turning into a little person more and more as each day passes. You are getting BIG! The car seat is becoming much heavier to carry and I was just looking at our pictures from Hawaii and you are TINY! My have you grown!
You legitimately can sit-up by yourself, and we think you are close to breaking your first tooth. You are on the verge of scooting/crawling---whether we are ready or not, it's coming. You get in the right position but then don't know what to do so you face plant. But you are more than ready! You also still love your jumper but are a much more accomplished jumper. You don't even need the jumper you will jump on and surface all the time! One day at church we were passing you down to your Grandma Gordon and you jump on everyone's lap once to get there. It was so cute and quite hilarious! You are just a mover and wish desperately that you could move everywhere all at once.
I've noticed that you are quite the observer. It takes you time to really warm up to new people or new toys. Once you feel comfortable though, you take it on with full enthusiasm.
I keep trying to teach you to clap, but you prefer to flap your little arms like wings when you are excited. We are also trying to get you to wave. Sometimes you stare at your hand very intently and make some movement, but it is still a work in progress. When we arrived back from Thanksgiving you decided you could make all kinds of noises especially your squealy ones and screamy noises.
You love your baths, squash, books, kicking, splashing, grabbing and reaching for EVERYTHING, playing with dad, drumming on the table, and any weird noise dad or I can make!
You do NOT like changing clothes, the vacuum, or my blow dryer. You haven't showed a problem with stranger danger quite yet, but you have displayed a few signs of concern when new people hold you.
I think one of the biggest milestones of the month is that you are expressing opinions. If you don't want to eat what we are feeding you, you simply seal your little lips shut. Heaven help us when you finally learn the word, "no."
