Our Little 7 MONTH OLD!!

I can't believe we are to 7 months! Sometimes it seems like it was yesterday that we brought you home but mostly it just feels like you have always been a part of this little family!

You have gained a serious personality this month! You have opinions on almost everything and sometimes mom does not agree with those opinions! For example, changing your diaper. You are never on board for this and wiggle and squirm away... Which with a poopy diaper is really not appreciated but we make due! Your most pronounced way of expressing your opinion is shaking your head in the "no" gesture. I'm trying to teach you it means yes...

You are growing and learning so much this month! You can clap your hands and love it when we clap along too! You cut your FIRST TOOTH!!! And the second is on its way! You can get up on your hands and knees and rock but usually face plants hard when you try to move.

You no longer care much for your bouncer but can sometimes stand it for 10 mintutes. I will miss this bouncer as it kept you contained.

You had your first Christmas which you spent at both grandparents' houses. You got super spoiled at both! You also got to meet your uncle David and Aunt Amy (on the Gordon side) and you and David got along well!

You have tried several new foods this month including: squash, peas, mixed vegetables, pears and pineapple, apricots, peaches, and apple blueberry. Squash is by far your FAVORITE food. If you could eat this everyday you would!

You are growing so much and are becoming less and less my little baby! But we love seeing you grow! One of my favorite times of the day is checking on you in your crib before Dad and I go to bed.  You are always sleeping so peacefully.  Every night I just thank Heavenly Father for sending you to our home.  We are so lucky to have you!

2nd Anniversary

I feel as if I have been married a lot longer than 2 years but it's also nice to know that we are still a young couple with so much to look forward to.

So much has happened in the past two years that I know that there is so much more to look forward in the forever to come. This next year is going to bring so much change that is a little scary to think about but having Nathan makes it so much easier to imagine leaving and going somewhere where we have no family but ourselves!

We kept it simple and went to Park City. We went to dinner and went to the Ice Castles in Midway. It was a lot of fun and a nice little break from being a mom and a dad.

Christmas 2013 (Eddington Side)

We left the Gordon's on the 23rd and went to my parents house. We were there until January 3rd. We also had a lot of fun on this trip. There was a ton of family, food and game playing. This year we ended up with 9 new games and we are very happy because we love games and were getting tired of the same 3 games. So we definitely put them to use at the Eddington house!

Nathan also went out telemarketing with my brother Daniel up a mountain. He really enjoyed it and had the sore muscles to prove it the next day (Nathan is snowboarder so skiing was definitely different).

Christmas was so fun especially since the Randall's joined us! We were opening presents by around 7:30-8am which was too bad. We both gave each other watches and lots of other fun gifts! Emerie had her Christmas around 9am so it was nice to enjoy some more time present unwrapping for the little one!

We also enjoyed the Lila Eddington Christmas party where food, I've cream bingo and beautiful hand made presents are plentiful! It was fun!

My other favorite tradition is New Years Eve when we do our full spread fondue; Cheese, meats and chocolate dessert. We played games with family and enjoyed watching the ball drop, Emerie even woke up just in time to watch it drop! The holidays are just more fun when kids are involved.

Christmas 2013 (Gordon Style)

This year we spent our Christmas split between Nathan's family and my family and it was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, this may be out last year to do that as we are anticipating next year being more hectic.

We spent the first part with Nathan's family and finally got all the siblings together for about 6 hours but it was good to see everyone! We did a lot of really fun things and enjoyed lots of time just enjoying the season. We were able to do Christmas on the 22nd and the 23rd which was fun to do.
